Social Dance/ Scottish Country Dancing

A massive well done to P4/5 RM8 who performed the Canadian Barn Dance and the Dashing White Sergeant to P2 RM3. RM8 did an excellent job remembering all the steps and keeping in time to the music. RM3 watched excitedly, especially when Mrs McKenzie joined in too.

RM8 have been dancing to non-traditional music – Counting Stars by One Republic for the Dashing White Sergeant and Wake Me Up Before You Go Go by Wham for the Canadian Barn Dance.

P5 RM7 have also been learning these dances.

P5/6 RM13, P6 RM10 and P7 RMs 11 & 12 have been focusing on Strip the Willow and the Flying Scotsman. They are dancing to The Red Hot Chilli Piper’s version of Avicii’s Wake Me Up for Strip the Willow and Believe by Cher for the Flying Scotsman.

All of the classes will get to perform their dance at the start of their Christmas Party.
