Room 8 – Harry Potter collage and accepting our places at Hogwarts

We made a Harry Potter collage because our topic in term one was Harry Potter. We did a carousel activity.  This is when each group did a different activity at different stations. After 20 minutes we moved to a different station. One of the tables was making Harry Potter. We took the tallest boy in our class and drew around him. We tore loads of tissue paper and stuck it on the inside of the drawing. Another table we tried to make Hogwarts using cardboard. It fell over and over. Another table we were designing posters for the houses. The houses are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Slytherin and Ravenclaw. Another table made potions and spells on a piece of paper like a book.

Another part of the Harry Potter topic was making the owls and the letters. As a writing task, we had to write a letter to Professor Dumbledore accepting our place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.  We then typed up the letter in ICT. Finally, we made really cool envelopes and stuck to display our letters and owls on the wall with Harry Potter.
