Ancient Egypt- P4, R14

After much anticipation, our Term 2 main topic of Ancient Egypt has begun! Last week, students made notes of what they knew and what they wanted to learn. This week has been a math/ geography/ history combination as R14 learned where Egypt is in the world and particularly in relation to Aberdeen. Then they had to do some research on an atlas to fill out their worksheets.

Since last week, students have brought in a variety of lovely things from home and shared these with their friends. Our Ancient Egypt corner so far has books, a hieroglyphics poster, a dvd with Egypt photos from a trip, artwork, and even a homemade clay pyramid and a papyrus making kit. With confidence and good talking skills, these students have shared what they’ve brought.
