Dicing with mathematical problems

Inspired by the @nrichmaths advent calendar of dice problems, the P4 children in Room 8 tried to solve some challenges.

As well as playing a version of ‘Shut the Box’ where they rolled a pair of dice and had to turn over 12 corresponding number cards to ‘their’ side before their opponent, they were set a challenge using 4 touching dice where the touching sides numbers had to match.  On top of this the two numbers on top of two dice had to add up the the top number on the third dice.  Here are some of the solutions:
