Netball – Kingsford V Fernilea

Kingsford’s current Netball team had its first ever match on Thursday 31st January 2019 at Hazlehead Academy. Kingsford played Fernilea School.

Having the match in the Academy’s games hall meant the girls could play on a full sized court for the first time. They had lots of space!

Fernilea were strong competition for Kingsford who have only been training for three terms. The pupils from Kingsford who played Goal Keeper or Goal Defence were kept from busy! Without our Goal Keepers being so switched on Fernilea would have scored even more often!

Both teams worked hard and played fairly throughout. Keep up the good work!

We have another match at the Academy on Thursday 28th February 2019. Only nine pupils can attend each match, so it will be a different nine pupils from our P5-7 Netball club that train every Wednesday.
