Dear Parents
As you know we try hard here at Kingsford to keep our library well stocked with a wide range of books that appeal to all our children to encourage them to Read! Read! Read! and thus continually improve their literacy skills.
As part of their literacy programme your child’s class may be allowed to borrow a library book for taking home to read as a home reader. I am delighted that we can give children this opportunity but must remind you that it is your child’s responsibility to keep the book safe and return it to the school library within the agreed borrowing time and in good condition.
Should a book be damaged or lost then you will be responsible for replacing it at a cost of up to £5 depending on the cost of the book involved.
