Active Girls Week 2019

Congratulations to all of the girls in P5-7 who attended the Active Girls sessions at least once last week, with many attending every day! Participation was optional so it was great to see, on average, 45 girls attending every break time!

Active Girls is national program, for primary and secondary schools, which has been running a for a few years now. The program aims to:

• increase the opportunities that girls and young women have to participate in sport and physical activity
• provide greater recognition of the girls’ power to motivate and inspire each other
• increase their access to leadership opportunities in school and community sport.

Since the sessions were so successful, they will continue once a week next term on a Monday break time with Mrs MacBeath.

Just turn up in the assembly hall with your water and snack. We’ll dance or workout for about 10 minutes then have our snack together in hall afterwards.  Coming along is a great way to get those steps up, get the heart bumping whilst socialising with friends.
