P4ZC ventured into second level territory measuring angles

Once the children were confident in identifying angles obtuse, acute, reflex, right, etc.), they wanted to challenge themselves further and learn how to use a protractor to measure angles. Mrs Zem needed reinforcement for this lesson (!) and asked Miss Allan for help and got six fabulous P6s to peer support!

The children were given some sparkly tape to design their shapes and angles and chose their success criteria. They could label them (ie. obtuse, acute, right, etc.), OR they could use a protractor to figure out approximate measurements. The entire class chose to learn how to use a protractor and they worked so hard! Look at these fabulous and varied shapes and angles!
