A visit from orchestra musicians
We had a visit from two musicians from the Royal Scottish National Orchestra in advance of our visit to see the full orchestra play at Aberdeen’s music hall on 27th March. They visited our classroom to talk about the different sections of instruments involved in an orchestra. They let us see some of the instruments that we will hear at the performance. We got a chance to listen to them play some music and feel how the sound was made within the frame of the cello. We really enjoyed this and are looking forward to our trip to the music hall in a couple of weeks. To get us familiar with the music we have been listening to recordings in class.
