Leadership and Teamwork- P4, R14

Our twice weekly reading sessions are so much more than reading…….

In R14 we’ve been working on our leadership skills, with each child having a turn at leading their reading group, while the others are questioners and clarifiers of the text. Children are learning how to be respectful of each other, how to correct each other respectfully, accept correction from each other, and ask questions about the book and enter into some great discussions with the guidance of the leader of that session. It’s been amazing watching them take up the challenge of their roles and use the question and challenge cards so responsibly for their discussions and post-reading work.
