First Football Festival for P4 team
On Saturday the 16th of February the P4 football team had their first 5 a side football festival at Harlaw playing fields. We were wearing our new kits which are a red top, navy shorts and navy socks.
The team played 8 games of 8 minutes each and we were rotating each game. This means that at the end of each game we would move to a different pitch to play a new team.
It was a nice sunny day to start with but then got a little cold. There were 9 players Callum, Alfie, Matthew, Rydan, Rory, Sophie, Lewis, Olly and Kirsty. We all got a turn at playing each game, 4 subs and 4 playing outfield with Alfie as the goalkeeper and we would swap around.
Mr Roach came along and watched us play, we were all delighted to have our teacher cheering us on! The parents and coaches were also watching. It was a great team effort and we are pleased with our performance for our first game.
We scored not too many goals but enough for our first festival. Callum, Lewis, Olly and Kirsty all scored with Kirsty finishing of our last game with a brilliant goal in the last few seconds! Alfie made a few great saves.
It isn’t about the winning it is about taking part and working well as a team and we hope we did our coaches proud!
