P4 is now learning about angles in numeracy. It’s always fun starting a new topic and seeing how much the children know already and remember (or have forgotten) from prior years! Lots of fun was had as the children used various items on their desks to answer the question of “what is an angle?” among each other. After whole class learning on the definition and types of angles, the children then used their whiteboards to investigate a bit more with each other. It was a bit noisy but Mrs Zem doesn’t mind a noisy classroom as long as great learning is happening! Through this collaborative (and very noisy!) learning, we’ve found out that many find obtuse and reflex angles the trickiest so we know what to focus on in the next few weeks.
