Map Coordinates In Room 14 P4

Our geography lesson today was also a maths lesson as the children learned how to read a downtown map of ‘Dewtown’, and answer questions about the location and distance of landmarks and streets.  We revised a lot of vocabulary like the X and Y Axis, horizontal and vertical, grid, coordinates, NSEW, and map key.  It’s only our first coordinates lesson but the children are well on their way to helping you navigate the streets of Aberdeen with an old school paper street map!
